How to Activate a Spypoint Camera Trap? The Complete Guide

Have you just bought a Spypoint camera trap and don't know how to start using it? Don't worry, know that this camera trap model is very simple to set up and use, moreover you just need to follow this complete guide to make everything even easier. Are you ready? Then go straight to the next paragraph and find out how to activate a Spypoint camera trap!

Go to the Spypoint website

The first thing you need to do is create a new dedicated account, to do this it is essential to access the official Italian Spypoint website via your computer. Inside you will find a whole series of useful sections that inform you of how the camera traps work or that offer dedicated firmware updates to improve the user experience. For the moment you just have to click on the “Webapp” section and then “Create a user account” (see image below)

Create a New User Account

Once you click on "Create user account" a screen opens where it allows you to log in to an account, we must click on "Create an account" as in the image below. Next we will have to fill in some of our personal data to finally be able to create a new user account. Specifically enter:

•             First name

•             Surname

•             Email address

• Create a login password with at least 10 characters

• Select your country

•             Telephone number

Connecting your First Camera Trap to your Spypoint Account

Once you have created an account on the Spypoint platform, a warning screen will open where it is explained that before activating the Spypoint camera trap you must:

Keep the device turned off

Make sure the batteries are fully charged

Check that the memory card is inserted correctly

We can proceed to the next screen by clicking on the orange button at the bottom right: “Ready To Start”.

Select the Spypoint Camera Trap Model

We are almost there! After selecting the model you will find yourself on the last screen where you will have to enter in the following order:

• Activation code (you can find it inside the camera trap following the image alongside)

• Device name

• Select the primary use of the device

After carrying out these steps the camera trap will be connected to your account. All you have to do is download the official Spypoint App and start using the camera trap.
